Ubicado en una altura con vistas al lago, el Gran Teatro de Zhuzhou consta de una sala de ópera de 1400 asientos, una sala de conciertos de 800 asientos y un teatro pequeño de 300 asientos. El sistema de estructura de cascarón helicoidal cónico alabeado de acero, tiene cerchas huecas integradas y columnas de espesor variable con vanos de 120m.
